Zoren is the archangel, protector and guardian of the solar system. Hidden, home worlds on Planets, Moons and Stars spiral out of control by the greedy, immortal tyrants and warlords that rule them. The ‘Lord of the Planets’ series will take you to many of these worlds as a crack team of super powerful riders, our universal peacekeepers, are summoned to neutralise many volatile situations.
Employed by Zoren, Kayden Hunter is in command of a select group of men enforce law and order. Kayden fights today, not only to keep his team alive but also to control the most powerful woman the galaxy has ever known.
Prince Wyatt has lost patience with his out of control and powerful daughter, Cassandra. Her antics spiral out of control while the Prince is away on business; his trip cut short when she once again has the police at his door. Fearing for the life of those around, he cuts her off from the family empire and rids the castle of any further threat.
Cassandra wakes up in the desert in the far away land of Australia. With no money and only the clothes she wears, she struggles to survive the rugged country with its howling winds and scorching heat.
Kayden Hunter finds her dirty, hungry and needing a place to stay. Will the leader of the powerful celestial travellers, called the Cloud Riders, believe her story and take her in when she couldn’t even convince her own father of her innocence.

If you like your fantasy thick, fast and action packed then this is the next novel to add to your must read list. Myth and magic are intertwined with a touching tale of love to pack a powerful punch and leave you blinking the star dust out of your eyes. The cast of hunky men certainly don’t go astray either! Behan’s world is not only majestic and full of mystery, it is so well realised it becomes a vital character in its own right. Here every little daydream or thought we have ever had when gazing into the night sky is built on with vibrant colour and the possibilities certainly do seem endless in Behan’s imagination.
The characterisation is spot on and our heroine certainly holds her own. Cassie is an absolute delight to discover and her awakening and journey will leave you transfixed right from the very beginning. There is a refreshing innocence about her and despite all the obstacles life has continuously thrown her way her spirit retains a sense of purity that will have you constantly drawn to her and invested fully in her plight.
The ending left me utterly breathless. I’d certainly take up the adventure and head to the stars with the crew all over again in the next instalment. Behan has brought something exciting and new to the table and uniquely Australian. Armchair magic at some of it’s best.
A solid 4/5.
